Debt Management - "Debt - A Roadmap to Expert Help - All You Have to Do is Ask !"
This booklet is primarily aimed at brethren who may be facing a debt challenge in their lives, but it should also be a useful source of information for those who are assisting others.
I am most grateful to R.W. Bro. Archie Torrance, Provincial Grand Master and Bro. Peter D. Lapage, Provincial Grand Treasurer from Kent for allowing us to use their booklet.
I am incredibly pleased to commend this advice booklet to you.
I am sure you will find it to be an invaluable reference document particularly for those appointed to the role of Lodge Almoner.
R.W. Bro. Peter J Hyde
Provincial Grand Master

Survey Results -
Please find attached the Survey results and for which we thank all those who responded for their input and thoughts. Clearly from the results, members are treating with great caution, opportunities to attend Physical meetings, albeit under the “Rule of Six” guidance. Rightly so to treat with caution. The PGM and his Executive are very clear that they do not wish anyone to take unnecessary risks attending physical meeting, where Virtual Business Meetings (VBM) will suffice. The paperwork required to hold a VBM is easy to obtain and only requires an email request to the ProvGSec, to obtain the letter of authorisation and appropriate dispensation, usually on a 1 day turnaround.
It is therefore suggested that until further Guidance becomes available, Lodges concentrate on holding a Virtual Business Meeting on the day that their physical meeting would have been held. This will ensure continuity, participation, interactivity of the members and the execution of all the administrative business of a Lodge. Of course should a Lodge wish to meet physically and safely in conformance with the current COVID-19 guidance, that is indeed their prerogative. However better be safe than sorry…
We should, unless totally unavoidable, not be abandoning meetings. If you are unsure as to if you will have insufficient Members to attend the meeting then change it to a VBM.
